LSD Tech, a company that produces SSD-based servers and supercomputers, introduced a new high-performance, high-capacity, solid state drive (SSD)-based server based on the new architecture and applied it to the big data processing business of KASUMI Group in Japan. The company was able to achieve great results.

The KASUMI Group leveraged LSD Tech server’s multi-array channel transaction (MAC-T) technology to handle more than 8 billion data in just 20 minutes with 4 GB of performance per second. KASUMI Group officials have confirmed this through dozens of iterations of incredible results. According to LSD Tech, the same data was processed at the same rate, which made KASUMI Group officials very surprised. After repeatedly testing for more than two years and verifying this through actual work, LSD Tech began delivering the products to KASUMI Group in July. This was the result of LSD Tech’s ability to create customized systems with Big Data Processing software to ensure maximum performance and stability. As a result, the KASUMI Group could receive the result data from the previous day at 8 am the next day and apply it at 9 o’clock, the time that the store opens. As a result, actual distribution business processes have changed and sales could increase.

In addition, Hyundai Home Shopping affiliates in the Hyundai Department Store group frequently had many simultaneous users, which caused frequent errors in retrieval due to heavy load on the system. Search was an important part of the task process. This is because when a concurrent user increases instantaneously, or when the load on the system is high, the query rate is delayed due to a query delay. Since last October, this home shopping affiliate was able to stabilize the network and keep CPU usage at 5% level by applying SSDs of LSD Tech.

LSD Tech has supplied supercomputers to Technopark in Yıldız Technical University in Turkey in 2014. LSD Tech has supplied supercomputers that utilize SSDs to improve data processing performance to SVR in Turkey, a partner of YTU. Exports amounted to 3.51 million US dollars (4.2 billion Korean won).

This year, LSD Tech has a competitiveness in developing products which handle 8GB per second and exporting them overseas, and is aiming to become a greater company next year.
